Our Story
- Ed Comiskey started his glazing career in 1958, working for Pittsburgh Paint and Glass in Des Moines as a sales representative. After many years of working for others, he decided to venture out on his own.
- Founded by Ed and Paul Comiskey 7/15/1988.
- Started out in a small one office shop in Pleasant Hill, IA,
- With most of the work being in downtown Des Moines they made the decision to move to 1525 Vermont Street.
- Ed passed away in 1995 leaving Paul to run the company by himself, through many years of trial-and-error Paul continued to grow the company, always following his father’s advice of treating people the way you want to be treated.
- In 2001 Comiskey Glass moved to 2550 Maury St, through many years of growth Comiskey Glass outgrew the 2550 Maury and moved to 1500 Maury Street, our current location.
- In October of 2023 Paul Comiskey initiated his succession plan, Ryan Haaland and Jeremy Lathrop purchased the company and continue to build on the decades of relationships Ed and Paul have created.
